Updating an oasis.

When Beth and Kevin asked us to take their already gorgeous backyard to the next level, we were ready for the challenge. While navigating both an exacting HOA and Board of Zoning Appeals, we tackled a very complex site to create a new outdoor oasis that addressed the spatial needs and challenges facing Beth and Kevin.

The primary objective was to create an outdoor entertaining space that would allow Beth and Kevin to enjoy their love of cooking, spend time with family and friends, and watch whichever sporting event happened to be on that weekend. Among the many design considerations we walked them through were the tradeoffs between enlarging the pool versus the pool deck, the best positioning of the spa for views of the sunset, and creating a functional kitchen with a grill and smoker that won’t obscure their beautiful backyard with an unattractive range vent hood.

Through careful planning, extensive research and attention to detail, we helped Kevin and Beth craft a space that not only looks like it was original to the house, but also elevates the house far beyond what they thought possible. Thanks to our partners on the project that included Mike Jones with The Locust Project, Craig Blackmer with Titan Landscaping and Hardscape, and John Groce with Light Co.

Every step of the way we have been very pleased with the communication and the extra steps Bevel took to make sure this project was exactly what we wanted.
